Duties:

  • Supervises a group of employees performing work at the GS-14 or equivalent level. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.

    Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Plans, schedules, and assigns work to subordinates. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members; provides feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Provides advice, counsel, and/or instruction to staff members. Recommends or approves appointments, selections, or reassignments to positions appropriate to the selection authority delegated. Effects disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area. Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities.
  • Manages all aspects of multi-year IT program initiatives, including project selection, prioritization, evaluation and monitoring, cost schedule management, risk management, quality management, and resource allocations. Programs are carried out through multiple related IT projects and are established to provide IT products and/or services. Leads, coordinates, communicates, integrates, and is accountable for the overall success of the program.
  • Assesses policy needs, and develops and provides information technology (IT) policy, procedure, and/or guideline additions, revisions, and/or updates to IT management and staff in order to govern IT activities and accomplish IT projects or programs.
  • Performs work involved with the acquisition, evaluation, support, and implementation of wide area network (WAN), Data Center, Cloud-Based, and Hybrid Cloud systems and applications. Provides technical expertise needed to implement WANs, Data Center, Cloud-Based, and Hybrid Cloud including the design, documentation, debugging, and maintenance of the WAN, Data Center, Cloud-Based, and Hybrid Cloud. Works in accordance with agency Information Resources Management regulations, policies, and directives.

    Provides consultation and recommendations to The Office of the CIO and organizational components of CSOSA in the establishment of new or improved information technology solutions. Researches emerging technologies and advises managers and customers on IT solution requirements, on new technology, and recommends modifications to current systems and systems components that enhance or improves the agency's ability to accomplish mission-critical program activities.

    Analyzes systems problems and provides solutions. Solves a wide range of complex operational and support problems to meet enterprise IT and customer requirements. Draws upon multiple IT specialties in order to accomplish complex tasks.

    Coordinates and provides technical\program guidance and direct technical support to the employees engaged in all life cycle stages of systems and subsystems
