Duties:

  • This position is located in the Administrative Center of Excellence (ACE) in the Northern Region. Position is responsible for a variety of administrative and office management functions. Provides business management support to Forests, Grasslands and Districts. Reports to a Supervisory Administrative Support Assistant.Acquires supplies and services to meet the purchase, rental, or lease needs of an organization. Analyzes items purchased and processes the associated paperwork necessary for transactions. Negotiates with suppliers and evaluates vendor responsibility. Selects methods for confirmation or placements of orders, such as purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, and micropurchases (less then $3,000).
  • Provides technical support for the resolution of customer service issues and transactional problems.
  • Performs clerical or technical level work to procure supplies and services to meet the procurement requirements of an organization. Receives procurement requests and screens for completeness.

    Ensures the procurement actions are implemented in accordance with applicable laws, such as the provisions of Sections 8 and 15 of the Small Business Act, as amended by Public Law 95-507, the provisions of Executive Order 12138 pertaining to women-owned business, and Public Law 96-302 pertaining to federal contract awards in labor surplus areas.
