    This is an open continuous recruitment bulletin for multiple locations throughout the Forest Service. First consideration will be given to applications received by the initial cut-off date of June 4, 2007.     CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Some positions may requires occasional travel and a valid state driver's license.

Duties:

  • Solves unusual problems in performing a variety of duties related to special projects involving administrative or program issues. Develops Center-wide work program objectives, target dates, cost estimates, and provides coordination on all Center work projects. Directs the overall planning of Vocational Skills Training (VST) projects on Center. Responsible for establishing programs to evaluate and strengthen vocational training programs continually, and where warranted, recommend expansion, reduction, changing, elimination or addition of vocational programs. Ensures that there is coordination and linkages between vocational/educational training and other elements of the Center's program.
    Exercises the full range of supervisory duties for subordinate employees and National Office Union Contract Training Instructors. Performs the overall work planning, establishes work schedules and priorities, and assigns work. Actively supports the civil rights program in the unit, and communicates this support to subordinates. Cooperates in developing and carrying out affirmative action efforts in the unit and those actions described in the Service-wide and Unit Affirmative Action Plans.
